Donations to the masjid

Donations through this website support Al Furqan Community & Cultural Association, charity 1115101. We collect your name, email, amount, frequency and optional town/city to process and administer your donation. Card details are entered on Stripe; this website does not store card numbers. The centre’s existing payments service, website hosting and email provider process data needed to run this service.

Gift Aid

If you select Gift Aid and confirm the declaration, we retain your full name, UK home address, postcode, declaration wording and date, linked to your donation and confirmed payments. Gift Aid selection alone does not make a declaration. Tell manager@alfurqancentre.co.uk if your tax status, name or address changes, or you wish to cancel the declaration. Declarations are retained for six years after the latest donation claimed under them.

Campaign emails

At the point of collection you can untick “Keep me updated by email”. For supporters who leave it selected, the centre records the charitable-purposes soft opt-in for emails solely furthering its charitable work and fundraising. Every campaign must include an unsubscribe option. Donation receipts and administration messages are separate. Unsubscribing stops campaign messages; it does not cancel a recurring donation.

Public donation acknowledgements

Only if you separately select public acknowledgement, your first name, town/city (if provided), amount and confirmed payment date can appear in a repeating donation popup. We do not infer your city from your IP or billing information. We do not publish your email, street or postcode. You can donate without public acknowledgement. Ask the manager to remove your public acknowledgement.

Your choices

Weekly and monthly donations repeat until cancelled. Contact manager@alfurqancentre.co.uk to change or cancel, correct your details, withdraw public permission, or request access to your information. Financial records are retained for the centre’s record-keeping obligations. A hashed connection identifier is used to limit checkout abuse.
